Hi all, so happy to find that there is a forum dedicated to Puntos.

I am a newbie driver and just brought a punto 02 1.2. Few days ago I noticed
that the "engine management light" stayed on when engine is turned on or driving, (I have uploaded a picture on flickr but I can't post link here).

When driving I don't feel anything particularly wrong though, can anyone give
a clue? do I need to go to a garage and have it checked?

generally sumthing electrical or sensor is at fault in the engine. the only way is going to a garage and geting the car connected to computer diagnotic which will read the problem and then you will know whats wrong it could a number of things mine came on not so long ago and got it checked out just to be on the safe side, turned out my fan was shaged.

you need to make friends with someone who works in a garage (better fiat for obvious reasons) and as they to plug a laptop into you ecu, it could be something really silly, normally is it is bad the engine wont start to protect itself lol

if your near mansfield anytime i will read the ecu for you
