I need to remove my centre console on my mk1 punto, the console tithe all the buttons on and fan controls, as my stereo was draining my battery so i need to splice it with the power from 1 of the switches, i was going to splice it with the cigarette lighter but found out that works when the ignition is off so its no good.
Ive removed the 2 screws at the top, and 2 at the bottom, but it won't come free andi dont want to force it,is there an easy way??

Hah, this one fooled me too, remove the fan speed knob - just pulls right off and you'll find another screw lurking under there.
