... is it relatively easy to change a nearside brake light bulb ? I bought them from Halfords last night, but it was dark and they wouldnt fit it in the dark for me, so i gotta do it myself today... Im no mechanic, but i can check my oil and water levels, and pump my tyres, but changing bulbs is another story!! Do i need any tools? Its a Punto Mark2b 53 plate 4 door if thats any help...

Sorry for the question....

its not too difficult....
you need to prise out the plastic cap on the rear interior pillar trim behind the light unit and it will expose the bolt. there is also a bolt further down. these bolts are the same size as wheel bolts so you can use your wheel wrench under the boot carpet to undo them. with the bolts removed, the light cluster will come away. the bulbs are in a holder that is attached to the back of the light unit. I cant remember off-hand whether this bulb holder is screwed in or clipped in. either way you need to remove it from the cluster, then you will see your bulbs. just push and twist the bulb out like a normal household bulb and replace, then reassemble it.

ive gotta say yh it is easy,in my mk2b there is actually a proper fitment to use for unscrewing the cluster nxt to the screwdriver with spare wheel,i replaced my cluster and bulbs,so if i can you can....power to women punto drivers:woot:
