got code off ecu and looked at the new ones on ebay but none of them matched so i've phoned local fiat dealers and they have one and he said he will do it for £270 for me, is there anywhere i can look to get it cheaper?

got one £125+vat on a part ex with mine, plus the one i bought from the scrapers for £17 they are going to give me £30 for it lol bet the scrap yard man that sold it to me was laughing at me for buying it but i've come up trumps with it.

right changed ecu and car is running sound now, i let it warm up till fan kicked in and reved it 3 times over 5000rpm and let it drop down to normal each time then switched it off left it 60 seconds and restarted it but the engine management light is still on, it is on constantly but in the instuction i got with the ecu said when you fit the ecu and start it up the engine management light will flash which it never did, could there be another problem with the car?

Hi Jon, what colour is your engine light? If it is yellow, then the ecu should have flashed, if it is red this is not required. If you have fitted the wrong ecu the ecu will record an error, please let us know what colour the light is.

hi mate its orange, its the right ecu i think, i got it from ecutesting.com i gave them all the codes they needed to know

Hi Jon, its the wrong ecu, if you have a yellow light it would need to do a phonic wheel learn, (the revving three times whilst the yellow light flashes) if it didnt flash it wasnt the correct ecu OR it may have been a decoded one. BUT if it was a decoded one you wouldnt have a warning light on now unless there was a fault, and your old ecu would have picked that one up.

yeah but like i said its not my car its my girlfriends sisters car and the light could of been on well before the ecu went, she is that slack that she would not of noticed it, she has only had it 6 months and every panel on it has a dent now lol
