Hi,

I have a 1998 60S Punto. Recently the red airbag warning light has come on, and all the manual says is contact the dealer. Also today, the horn has stopped working and I was wondering if this is related, or just a fuse. Any help from anyone thats had a similar problem would be grately recived, to tell me whether it is serious or not!

Cheers

KA

No, the airbag doesn't have a fuse as far as I know. It sounds more like a lose plug under the steering column. Take the shroud off with an allen key, disconnect the battery and check/clean the connections under the steering wheel. You are lucky you dont have an immobiliser cos that would start playing up next.

AIR BAG duz have a fuse --also do not remove any yellow leads until the battery has been off for @ least 10 mins - make sure the ground lead to the airbag senser is intact - chek for any small cuts in the loom & re-install the batt leads - if it's still on the its a trip to fiat to have it put out;) £45+vat
