some times i start the car press throttle and nothing happens. i turn it on an off again and it fine.

whats broke?

Sounds like the potentiometer (or at least that's what I expect under there) has a dodgy connection, first place to start imho

where is that, on the tb?

If it's a fly by wire system you would have a device to send the wanted throttle value from the pedal area, the ECU tells the engine throttle what value to be at and a sensor on the throttle body to feedback what its at.

So you should have 2 things to check, starting around the peddle area, I havent a clue where to start, mine is a direct cable being a mk1

Hi Dave, your car has a throttle learn facility which is used to learn the correct positioning of the throttle butterfly. For this you have to switch on and leave the accelerator for a minute and then start up. I have had a few ecus which have repeatedly lost this setting, 1 ecu had to be replaced for this problem as it became so regular. I take it you have a fault code reader which you have tried to get a code from the ecu?

i did all the lean thing last night, T told me about it.
started the car this morning an it was still the same

i have a spare new throttle body but not had time today to fit it.

i got no code reader, i sent it back because it didn't do all what it said on the add

my uncle had to replace the throttle pedal setup (complete with potentiometer) on two of his mk2's for similar problems. they arent that expensive either IIRC maybe worth a try?

same problem here. please explain what did you change and how?

you mean throttle body under air cleaner?

it's aliveeee. disconnected + pole wire on the battery for few minutes

no, the actual pedal assembly.

still not fixed this, the place i though would have one DA Motors fiat only breakers said they didnt even know a 51 reg m2 punto was fly by wire

is this my pedal, what bit do i need to buy
