Our newly aqquired 55S has electric headlight height adjustment which doesn't work and it's left us with lights which are uncomfortably low to drive at night with.

Where should I check first to get it working - or how can I manually adjust them?

With ignition on but no engine running I can't hear a motor working when moving the switch.

My first thought was a blown fuse, but the handbook seems to suggest that there isn't a fuse for this item (?)
 
Ah-ha! :)

I was wrong, the motors ARE working, it sounds like one for each headlight, but the lights do not move...

What should I look for next?
 
Now I'm getting there, somehow a bit of poking around has bought the adjustment to life, I'm thinking that someone had adjusted them far too low and gone beyond the range of adjustment.

Just need to fine tune them now.
Slowly getting to grips with things now.
