pointless thread without pics... you haven't even asked a question?

don't you have a progress thread in members?

only proud of some D.I.Y work dude doesnt matter nice to see some of this stuff on here, will be waiting for some pictures mate!

i understand that he's proud of his DIY work, but whats the point in making a thread about it without showing it to us. Are you that excited that you can't hold it in for a whiile longer till you have pictures?

just like premature ejaculation.

When the tyre fitters fitted the tyres did they not damage the paint?

Last wheels I had refurbed were for my M5 by Lepsons in Kent and it was near £300 which I obviously dont want to pay that for a daily hack (n)

nah, they dont lever the bar off of the rim, they have a bit on the machine that they lever off of, and i spent about £50 on materials on mine, got LOADS left over aswell. plus £40 for compressor and spray gun.

Which sort of paint and primer did you use? I've been in Halfords and they said that they don't have anything suitable, but I've seen a Hammerite metal primer that I believe will be OK.
Thanks!

This thread is from December............doubt you will get an answer off the origional poster.

As for halfords they are not the best source of information. Surley being metal, normal primer would be fine?

and here is the OP, the wonders of internet lol

errrm, you want high build primer, you can get off ebay, choose a colour in the halfords minimix book, and get them to mix it up for you (for the paint), if you get it in spray cans ull need 2 cans, if you get it in a tin ull need 500ml.
any other Q's, i get notifications, so post up nd ill reply...

Thats because you know how to use the forum properly(y)
How much did this cost you from start to finish including EVERYTHING from paint to sand paper to filler.

And how long did it take?

I'm trying to do a time/cost analysis between DIY and Powedercoaters.
