hey, i was jus looking at a thread where sumone had taken off the door bumpors on there punto an i thort it looked rather smart, i was jus woundering can u jus take them off an leave it like that or is there fixings for themon the door an will i need to smooth the door or whatever????????

to answer your question though, they are just stuck on so can just be pulled off without leaving holes.

best way to do it:

1. heat up the bump strips with a heat gun/ hairdryer to loosen the glue.
2. slowly pull the bump strip off where you have heated so that it doesn't snap/ leave loads of residue.
3. after completely removing the bump strip, you will be left with bits of left over glue etc, remove this with a combination of AutoGlymn tar remover and elbow grease.
4. polish area under where bump strip previously was
5. repeat on other side.
