Posts: 2 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | water leak in passenger footwell hi, was wondering if anybody has experienced a water leak in the passenger side footwell on a punto. the car is a Y reg. been in various garages who don't seem to know how to solve the problem. water only seems to leak when it's been raining hence a leak in a mechanical component can be ruled out. doesn't seem to be coming from the door either. last mechanic thought that it might have been leaves had clogged up the windscreen run off point which caused it to overflow but the runoffs are clear and it's still leaking any suggestions/advice would be grateful recieved.....i'm sick of it!!! cheers

![]() | ![]() It may be leaking past the bulkhead at the top. What needs to be done is the bonnet and hinges to be removed off the car and silicone sealer needs to be applied at the back and sides where there are any gaps. Have done this a few times on mk 2's and seems to do the trick.

Have you opened up the gromit just under the carpet near the glovebox (or have you got any additional ICE- needs the gromit for power lead) You could always go to Caledoina near Morrisons ![]()

It's not coming in the door seal or the inside of the door, and two garages have failed to find the problem. How easy is it to remove the bonnet and hinges? Can I do it myself?

It's coming down behind the black plastic moulded kickpanel - is this easy to remove? I've taken it to three garages now, no-one has found the solution and my local Fiat dealer says he won't look at it, I'm already £200 lighter and coming to the end of my tether!!!!
