its started doing this alot just lately when its been parked up for a long time, when i turn the key all power just dies for a few seconds then it trys to kick in then starts after about 4 or 5 times i really cant cope with this anymore.. please help

The amp/sub is draining too much power, Either overnight or if you have it set up on an ignition live (instead of a constant live) its draining too much power at the time when you starter needs all the power it can get to turn the engine over.

well it's a mark 2b so the heads bypassed with the red and yellow together so its on a constant live as of stupid CANS system.. the earth is on the rear seat belt point... im still a bit confused though.. when the faceplates removed from the head unit means there should be no power going to the amp...:confused:

Some headunits still use power with the faces removed,

best thing todo is change it so its on an ignition live, take the feed from the cig ligther

Yeah or put the amps remote cable on a switch if you've got perm live to the HU as it's prob sending remote power to the amp hence it'll be running when you've got the car turned off.

Switch for the amp remote and you're set, mount it somewhere out the way.

You can see if the amps powered with head unit off by seeing if the power light on the amp is lit.. lol

nah the light turns off but as ive found out when the amp is disconected i.e. no fuse in the fuse holder when i start the car its perfect... where as if i leave the amp in live then its almost as if there is no power, but within a few seconds the cars fine again.. it didnt do this before the amp, ive also checked to see if the cars had its crank re-map which i was told causes simular symptons as as far as any fiat dealership are aware its had them
