Hi Guys, this is my first post so please experts help...

i parked my fiat punto R-reg 1.2 on friday and everything was fine. no clutch problem at all. now, today i started my car and noticed that the clutch pedal totally free...could not change gear. do you think it could be clutch cable that has somehow come off or something else. please help. thanx.

do you mean the clutch is compleatly on the floor???
if thats the case then yeah the clutch cable has snapped

I think only early puntos had cable, r reg must be hydraulic.

Most likely clutch/brake fluid is leaking.

sounds like slave or master cyl?

Thank you for your advise...actually, i noticed today after Rich's idea. it was not completely on the floor but very light then checked under and guess what..there was a lot of oil...opened the bonnet dont know whats what but seems like there was oil on the engine parts as well.

had no problems with the clucth before...finally, would you guys know how much it would cost? how much i should pay the mechanic?
