So i got this aftermarket remote central locking kit by HAWK from ebay. You know the kind - 4 actuators, control unit, wiring and fixings.

Tried to fit it today and could not get it to work. I have tested all the wiring and electrical elements and everything is fine in that respect. The problem is i cant get the actuator fitted to the door.

My punto is a 2000 mk2 with no electric windows or c/l at all. There is a black plastic protection around the back of the rods that i need to fit the actuator to. I have tried mounting the actuator vertically to the left of the door pin, with a rod going horizontally to the pin itself but the flex in the rod over the distance means it just doesnt work!

If anyone has done this job, how did u get it to work???
