Just a sort of how stuff works and why question. On a Punto Mk3 when the "Window Down Button" is held for a long enough time while the window is already in the down position it locks up and cant be raised for about 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds it appears to just unlock itself and work fine again.

It has a kind of thermal cut out thats there to protect the motor in the even of having the button pressed and the motor stalled out for too long. The delay will most certainly be the time taken for the cut out to cool/re-set itself again.

Thanks very much. I just held the button down for abit too long the other day while the window was already down and got quite scared when it wouldnt go up. 5 seconds later Taaddaa!! worked fine.
