My son's '52 reg Punto 1.2s red airbag warning light has suddenly come on while he was driving it. Any ideas would be grateful, as the handbook isn't much help. Thanks in advance

is the passenger (yellow one) near the airbag light on as well ??? if so usually connected with the deactivation switch on passenger side i would go to fiat to have it sorted on a diag and hopefully the codes just need clearing for the light to go away, also there is a wiring alteration for the passenger one (there are loads of threads on this with the mk2 just use the search button) oh nearly forgot it should be no more than about 40-50 quid to be sorted
