hi, am new to this forum and am hoping someone can help me out.

just bought a second hand fiat punto 1998..it has an inbuilt immobilizer as well as an external one. (no red key) i went to make a new key as a spare, came back with it and tried it. this is when the problem started...the car wasn't starting..tried it with the old key too and even that didn't start the car...have spoken to other and they say its the immobilizer thats the problem.

i'm a student and dont have a lot of money to fix this car..can someone help me with ideas of how i can fix this in the chaepest way possible and if u know anyone who can fix it this way.also what are your thoughts to what's caused this problem.
