Is anyone able to help me!!

Have just recently purchased a Fiat Punto 1998 (R) Auto sx Selecta 1.2 . I had no problem in getting the car home or starting the car for a couple of times. Then a problem has started. I used the red key to start the car, as I went to start the car all the dials went up and down. At that point the car did not start, then to make matters worse the key is now stuck in the ignition.
Does anyone know how to get the key out, or how to start the car.
I have spare keys to the car one is blue and another one.

It maybe due to the battery or similar as the key will not be released if not in P or N and especially as you said the dials go down.

The red key is not meant to start the car(full time)that´s what the blue keys are for.

we used our red key for a couple of weeks with no problem, this may sound silly but it is in park isnt it key may not come out if not i dont think,

It´s not supposed to come out but on older cars it does anyway
maybe the key is damaged(bent)or maybe not fully inserted before it was turned
