I have just gone from 14" wheels to 17" alloys on my MK2 punto. The problem is now the type is catching the wheel arches. Any idea's on what I can do?

I already have low profiles on but till rubbing mostley when I turn left?

The tyres themselves are probably the wrong profile, you might need a narrower fitting tyre, or you might need to fit spacers etc if you havent already.

go to the punto section and have a search, mention what size tyre you currently have and other tyre sizes may be offered that might help with the complaint

If you are lowered also or carry a lot of weight then this wont be helping matters either

What size tyres?
What offset?
Where do they catch - inner or outer arch?

They are catching on the inside and the tyre size is 205/40/ 17. My dads mate said he might be able to cut the inside of the arch out or something like that.

I havent fitted spaces or anything. Not sure on offset either sorry, my dads a parts manager for citreon and gets the mechanics to sort my car for me.

If it's catching on the inside spacers will more than likely resolve the issue.

The ET must be too high. It'll be stamped on the rim somewhere.
