Okay boys (&girlslol), ive been out on a bit of a mad one tonite with my mate, giving my car a bit of a thrash (Now i know why i love my punto sooo much) Anyway.... After hard breaking at loads of roundabouts.. (along with the lupo behind me) My breaks started to squeek loads... i got outa my car and put my hands on my aloys and they were boiling, front and back....

After they cooled back down the squeeks went away...

Anyone tell me if thats normal, or do i need to get the looked at?

Keep your brake fluid in tip-top condition when performing like that too as it can and will boil with exuberant use! Then you wont have any stoppers at all. Brake fluid is hygroscopic (?)... well it absorbs moisture from the air anyhow and that lowers its boiling point.

Ok i apologise for my bad English guys, but i was asking for some advice not taking an English exam "ninja59" and if where pointing out "bad English" Your post wasn't brilliant English either.
Anyway thanks for the replys.

Don't you mean green houses, as they're made of glass?

Come to think of it they are usually silver in colour or white... rarely green... :p

Come on boys play nice! :D

It was mainly to do with the spelling of brakes, whats with glass houses????

Cambridge Dictionary of Idioms.

People who live in glass houses (shouldn't throw stones).

Meaning:

Something that you say which means people should not criticize other people for faults that they have themselves.

im2welsh4u........ most people here are not criticizing your English. We do not expect anyone to have passed an English exam to post here.

We also realise that the site is used by many people who's first language is not English (I'm not saying that your isn't. Cymraeg?) so we all have to make allowances.

Dave.

Well i have passed an english exam lol, and welsh is my first lanugage
Lets forget about it now, and get back on topic....

So my brakes... There not broke? lol

This grammer is getting ridculous now . . . (and yes im crap at it too before anyone says anything. )
There no need to keep on he came on asking for advice on his brakes not an english lesson.

They sometimes sequal if they are dry, copper grease will help but it they aint squeaking now i wouldnt worry.

You probabily overheated the brakes, no big problem, but as said if you keep doing it you will wear the brakes faster and need fluid changes more often, as the water that is absorbed into the fluid over time boils and creates little air bubbles in the fluid. Then When you brake they squash and reduce the effectiveness of your brakes and give the pedal a spongey feel.

If you are really concerned with them (if they are working normmal now they should be ok). . go to one of the nearest tyre places and get them to give you a free brake check.
