It will probably have the usual rattles from behind the dashboard. They are irritating but not constant or fatal.
Two biggest things to watch are the clutch and the power steering. If you engage the clutch the way it wants to be engaged, it will be fine. If not, you'll get some judders and shakes. Try adding a little more RPM before you release the pedal. If changing your technique doesn't solve it, expect to replace it. If the electric power steering goes out or doesn't work, that will be a fair pile of cash to replace. The steering may go out when driving but you can still drive the car. Well, sort of. Try stopping the engine and restarting it. That will work for a while but it's a strong signal that you need to take it Fiat pretty quick.
I would not mind having a diesel HGT as I think a little more grunt would be appreciated compared to the standard JTD model that I have now. Good Luck.
