General Commuter shed!

Lol...it's just a term of endearment :) It was very reasonable and will be my daily hack.

She is grey Penelope, the latest in a longish line of Mk1 Penelopes (there was blue Penelope, yellow Penelope, orange Penelope). There was also the Slug (a Selecta, not worthy of the name Penelope)!

Dave et al, feel free to delete this thread as I've put a new one in the members section :)

Well it's got Sporting seats, skirts, silver dash, wheels and the tell-tale 6 speed box and it rides hard as I'd expect from the Sporting (oh and it says so on the V5, insurance and HPI databases) ;)

Maybe one of the two previous owners replaced a broken badge, it happens

A skip perhaps LOL:cry:

Mine? How so? Ok, it is a hatchback but otherwise...

It's got half the BHP, isn't nearly as gorgeous looking, sounds far less good! Have you actually driven a coupe or even been in one?

I have a different coop now to the one in the picture gallery btw

Errr, I have seen pics of Sammi's old 20vt and know what happened to it  ...what on earth are you doing with it

Is your yellow Sporting a speedgear then? Wouldn't have been interested after all knowing that :)

Yes, beautiful cars they are, hubby being Italian has to try out anything auto Italian, had a 2ltr all leather number when they first came out, future classic sports there.

My punto a daily commuter, cheap and chearful especially when it returns a staggering 46MPG on 22 litres of fuel.

I'd have a another coupe tomorrow, after I'd tried a Alfa156 2.5 TS Veloce:yum: all singing all dancing, then a Alfa 2.0 ltr GTV:yum:

My other passion is for classic Minis, I have a 1.3i in British Racing Green that is just the dogs dodas for fun fun fun driving:slayer:

Thats not a negitive point of the car, its one of the main reasons you've bought it in the first place the fact it has a smaller lump init.

My opinion is they look like a wedge of cheese, its a marmite car, but i cannot fault the 20vt lump in them.

I have been in one ive also been in a few sheds too.

It's held up fine this week, getting a steady 35-37mpg...will hope it copes as well in a muddy field at the V Festival tomorrow :D

Must be f***ked then I get 44mpg average in my 1.4 mk2b @ 120bhp :nerner:. Probably just needs a good service and the proper plugs there are two different NGK plugs for the 1.2 / 1.4 superfire engines quite often the cheaper ones without the "-10" in the serial number are used and as a result don't work as well.
