Hi,

I recently bought a W-Reg MK2 but came without a service book so I bought a blank one and I need to fill the vehicle identification on the fist page, it askes me for:

Model Code (4 digits)
Model Version (4 digits)
Chassis No (8 digits)

Reg No - Got this
Reg Date - Got this

Where can I find this information, and are the Model Code and Model Version the same for all year 2000+ 1.2 8v MK2's?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know about MK2's but on a MK1 you open the bonnet and it'll be above the drivers side headlight.
Might not be of any use but could be a helpful starting point.

OK I found the Motor Engine Number, and Version number, is that the same as the Chassis No. and the Version Code?

Check Logbook for Chassis number (y)

Hi, no logbook came with the car, so got a brand new one and I am trying to fill in the vehicle identification page where it is asking for all these numbers :)

OK, I think I have found the chasis number, but what about the model code and model version - I assume its the same for the same type of car. I have a Year 2000 MK2 1.2 8V (standard), does anyone know the model code and model version for this punto? Would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

The logbook is the V5 / registration document with your name on it as the owner (blue A4 jobbie). As long as you did all the paperwork when you bought the car, you should get it in the post in a few weeks :)

Oh sorry, the V5 document, yes I have that, but it does not show the chassis number, only shows the VIN number (in the section where it says VIN/Chassis/Frame No.)
