hey everyone
im thinking about buying a new dash with rev counter and temp gauge on as my standard mk2 dash doesnt have it on
does anyone know where in the north east / yorkshire i can get to align the mileage on my new dash to match my old one
i need it going forwards about 15k

tried gainmanor and benfield
neither of them will do it

did you talk to a det? girl on the desk wont have a clue what you are on about so will just say no we dont do that

nah i made sure they put me onto the service and parts people
guy knew exactly wot i meant and said that even though they was a registed fiat dealer they wudnt do it
im moving the clock forwads not backwards! why is it so had

suppose i fit the new dash without getting it aligned?
i heard the mileage can flash and service light will flash
is that true?

why not its not as if mileage is going backwards! I'd charge £20 to fit & align/set mileage but too far from you

as long as its not too far i'd make the drive!

probably a stupid question but what does DET mean?
i'll pop into gainmanor and benfield tomorrow and see what they say

dealer expert tech, if you go in an say you want to speak to a det, they shocked you know what one is an go get one, you then tell him what T or Newman r tells you, and then they do it. its how i got mine done. service desk girl kept thinking i wanted my tracking done

dealer expert technician.....can picture his face but his name escapes me at the moment!

might be just co-incidence, just everytime i speak to someone at a main dealership like benfield they seem to be idiots!

Benfield can do it, I know a couple of people who've had it done there.
