Over the last week I've been having problems starting. Last week, each time it took 6 or 7 attempts to start, sometimes up to 10-12, but it eventually always started. I was away over the weekend so didn't use my car. Yesterday and this morning it started fine, but this evening it took 8 or 9 attempts to start. I've spoken to a few people and noone has much of an idea - supposedly it would've been worse after a weekend of no use rather than better. I'm a bit stumped. Anyone offer any advice?

I don't know if its relevant, but my sump has started leaking a little bit (as in a very, very small amount of oil may be under the car if I leave it over night). There is plenty of oil - I've made sure it isn't low. I and a mate are going to replace the sump this weekend.
