Hi Guys Just been servicing my 1.2 punto 8v Changed oil no probs changed spark plugs big probs. No1 cyl plenty of spark but not firing engine running on 3cyls. engine warning light on on dashboard anybody got any ideas?

i think the ECU is down ! may be the coils so if u can get coils to try them do it and if the engine still like this so its the ecu ... sorry for that .

has this happened since the service, did you use HT pliers to remove the leads ?

Cheers for that. Why would the ecu go down by just replacing the plugs

leads break internally very easily if removed wrong (pulling on the actual wire & not the 'boot'.

So was it like this before??

anyway i want u to tell me what is the plugs name , and when u solve this problem tell me what was the wrong with ur car pls .

sounds like your h.t leads ,my husbands car started misfiring after he had changed the plugs when i looked one of the ht leads had a very small split ,so i changed the leads and the misfire was history, it even starts up better

No definately not. Plug on No 1 cyl has a spark but its not firing plug is wet with petrol Have just replaced the plug leads and it is still the same eg engine light on dash

Have replace the leads also still got the engine light on dash

hi there.am new on this site but my wifes punto fires through carb fire.engine is running smoothly but if you accelerate pedal hard fires like a bloody gun.checked the leads,spark plugs everything is ok.any help is welcome.

plugs ok?

My problem turned out to be a broken wire on No1 cylinder fuel injector

How did you find it was the wire that was the problem?
