My 02 Punto 16v elx fuel gauge is showing no fuel and the empty light is flashing but the car is running ok with plenty of fuel. In the service manual it says that i should contact fiat service senter, but i would like to try sort it out my self first.

where does the fuel-level meassuretransmitter sitt?

other good ideas where to start?

its inside the tank. light should come on with at least 10 ltr left in the tank though.
be daft if it came on with not enough fuel left to get to a petrol station
