Anyone ever tried to remove the rubber side strips from the side of your punto? I know some are stuck with glue and some with screws but not sure how you tell. I want to remove mine to apply a body sticker kit but not sure of the best way to do this. Any ideas?

afaik they are all stuck down with a sticky pad material and are relitivly easy too pull off.

most on here say warm it wih a hairdryer then usr fishing wire to like sort of floss it off, then rub the rest of glue off with fingers,

They can be a bit of a nightmare i didnt warm them up enough so the glue was still on the car and had to use petrol to get em off!
There was also 3 blobs off silkaflex or tiger seal which is an even bigger pain so its definently worth taking ur time! Send us some pics when the graphics are on!

The paint underneath is likly to be a slightly different colour so make sure u t-cut the sides after!

My punto doesn't have any and I'm sick of picking up little car park dongs from wayward shopping trolleys and the like.

ive heard (from a bodyshop) that its a nightmare to stick used rub strips back on, even with new sticky.

But getting them off the car is really easy, so will getting dints in the ur doors when theyre gone

Ok had never thought of trolleys being knocked into the car!! may have to seriously think about this! but if i take them off i shall let you know! do some models not have them on then??
