Erm - does anyone know how I know that my car has an immobiliser on it?
The previous owners said it didn't!
But I think it should have -
it has 2 blue keys with chips in and a card with 2 codes on.
The insurance company have asked me to confirm that it either has a factory fitted immobiliser or a Thatcham approved one.

Er, no I don't have the red key.

All Mark 2 Puntos from V/W Reg will have a Code2 imobilisor & come with 2 blue keys.

Most Mark 1 Puntos will have a Code imobilisor, but some early ones from L-P Reg might not have it. The Mark 1 is the model where you need the red key aswell as 2 blue ones.

Best way to check if you have the imobilisor is turn the ignition on without starting the car & see if for the first couple of seconds an orange CODE light with a key symbol lights up on the dashboard
