I need to clean my injectors on my car. i have taken them off and need a good clean. my dad has a Ultra sonic cleaner at work and just wondered if you need to take the plug off that the wiring harness clips onto each Injector?

Just dont want it to damage it as they get soaked in the progress of untra sonic cleaner.

If anyone can help that be great as he will be getting it sorted tomorrow.

would you not be able to simply do an engine flush with Forte or similar?

I have tried that and other injector cleaner but its that clogged up its not spraying right on the first injector. there off at the moment wasnt a big job to get them off. they are very dirty and got that yellow crisp on the tops of them. it has done 128k the car so not supprised really. just misses in low revs then kicks in like a turbo at 3500rpm.

did you run the injector cleaner on basically an empty tank and thrash the ******** off it? thats the best way to do it
i did it to my 1.2 8v just to see if it did owt and its ia a little smoother but not noticable really, just a spur of the moment thing when i bought it haha

you shouldnt need to remove the socket off of each injector.

we do ultra sonic cleaning in the garage i work at all day long. chuck throttle bodies and inlet manifolds in there. they seems fine. but just make sure you dry them out once done and do not touch the needle.
