I have a 54 plate punto active sport 8v mk2 (or 3, not sure) and the horn no longer works. So I am thinking it is either a loose wire either in the steering wheel, or where the horn connects, or a fuse, or the horn itself. I don't mind trying these things myself but I don't really know where things are. I don't know where the fuses are, and what one would be for the horn. Additionally, I am a bit worried about taking the cover off the steering wheel, there are about 6 little screws round the logo on it, not sure if this is how I do it or if I just stick something under the sides, I don't want to risk affecting the air bag in any way.

I have ordered a workshop manual for it which hopefully will tell me where all these things are, I was also going to get a Hayes book, but I wondered if anyone had any help in the mean time.

I know I could take it to a garage but I like to rey things myself, if I can.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

if i was you i would check all fuses make sure 1 hasnt blown.. im not sure which1 is the horn.... if you think its the switches you can remove the airbag safely by disonnecting the battery. remove the bolts behind the wheel that secure the airbag. the thing should just pulloff then.
