Since i've got a standard punto
The small button consol where u have City - heated Rear - the 2 windows - Fog lights - I've then got a blank

Now how hard would it be to make it an actual button?
as i'd like to make a tidy way of switching possible footwell lights on and off

As i was going to join up with the lighter to the switch from the switch to the footwell lights

Would this be possible?
i am aware it means i can only switch them on/off when i've got dips or full headlights on

Ever thought of getting the front fog light switch and button from one of the higher models then wire it up to whatever you want? I guess that could work :)

I have footwell neons, why don't you get a button added to the blank plastic? Then you could put them on whenever. I wanted my button on the center console but got told it was alot of hassle to do so have mine at the side in the footwell.

i was thinking that in the first place :)
Could get a simple light switch (lamp desk thing) and it'll be suitable to use a bit of velcro pads to hold it in place

Where did u wire you neons from tho?

It was when i first got my car so i didn't fit it myself sorry mate, i can take a pic of were the switch is if it helps though. I know they drilled through plastic though to fit it.

I wanted to wire my footwell lights to the blank switch aswell, but i took the section with teh switches out and its all enclosed, so i decided against messing about with that.

Instead i got a small black switch from a lamp, and filed out a hole just the right shape for it to slide into just behind the cup holders in the center console.

Wired it all up to the cigarette lighter, so they are active when the lights are on but can be toggled on or off (y)

They aint blow your fuses then? :)
And yeah - in the day time u wont see them anyway - so there ideal for the night time use :)

Shame there aint a way to have it perminatly wired up - so its on or off as yah please :)

I'll just use a couple of sticky velcro pads to hold mine in place i think :)
And cable ties the lights to stuff underneath the footwells :)

Could u put up a picture of the end results? Just so i know what sort of thing i could be looking at :)

Rosse119 can i still see yours as well

feed the wires from the neon through your fag lighter socket. wire it up to switch making sure the contacts do not meet and push the switch into the fag lighter. nice and easy place to hide it without drilling or cutting anything. ill post a pic if u want one, pm me

thats what i mean, if you are wiring it up to the fag lighter illumination. do you still have the circular switch?

make a mother F*cking guide and i will love you forever:worship::worship:

Lol no one would read it as its so easy. All you do is take the ciggy plug off a neon light and wire it to a power source elsewhere. Placing the neons is up to you, as is how you hide the wires. I took out a few plastic consoles to hide most of mine (y)

Well all i did was find out which bits of the ciggy socket were positive and negative, and solder the wires to them accordingly. You can literally just cut the plug off the neon as long as you know which one is positive (either red, or clear with a white stripe usually)
