I have a 2001 Punto 1.2 ELX 16v had it for about a month. THe light is of, what i can describe as a man sitting backwords in the front seat against the dash. and the dash has a cross over it. Its a yellow symbol. Any help would really clear this mystery up lol. Thanks Stan.

yup, it's linked to the passenger airbag. When the switch inside the door is turned to off (air bag disabled) the light should remain on & it is safe to place a rear facing child seat on the front passenger seat and when the switch is turned to on, the light should come on when you first turn the ignition & then flash a for a few seconds before going out. When the light is not on, you shouldnt put a child seat on the passenger seat (y)
