hi all iv got a punto mk2 its a 1.2 8v and i want it to go QUICKER but dont want to change as i wouldent know what to do and dont hve the money to buy one. just wondering what could be done to get a few more bhp??chears peeps

I was hoping this had something to do with the now-classic PC game (1996?) - my favourite was Need For Speed Porsche 2000 (also sold as Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed), which wasn't quite as swank and glamorous but instead had you working your way up through the ranks. You could train to be a factory test driver (y)

Meanwhile we should have a sticky at the top of the Punto section, "Want more power from your 1.2 8V?" which should collect together all the posts about engine transplants/buying faster cars etc.

My suggestion, as always, is to buy an Alfa Romeo 164. Probably about the price of a Punto gear knob, and 140mph performance. Keep the Punto for driving around town.

haha yeah.

punto 1.2 8v's at not there for speed they are there for first time drivers and around town cars.

u need a different car if u want speed im afraid
 
true 8v is not for speed, all show not go :D
i love my 8v, a few friends of mine and a cousin died because of high speed so.... 8v , 60 hp rulz
