General Remove/Replace Sterring Wheel

I need to remove my steering wheel to look at my indicator stem (making a crackling noise in one direction)

Has anyone done this? If so, did they replace the nut as required, or just put the old one back?

Hi mate,

Best practice is to replace the nut, as it does hold your steering wheel on after all. However, having said that, I havent replaced them when I have removed them, and I have yet to have a steering wheel come off or loose.

just remember to remove the battery before you start as you don't want the airbag going off

Cool, will just torque it back down as per Fiats recommendations.
