So as you know I bought a bright red MK2, only problem is Mr Fiat decided to stick a bright solid blue interior in my car, was he on LSD at the time?

So my question to you is how much would it cost in both time and money to retrim my seats and door cards (5 Door) with a nice black and red fabric?

I intend to do most if not all of the work myself at home, i'm kinda handy with a sewing machine and my mom will be there to help with the awkward bits.

It has been suggested that I get a set of seat covers for it but I had a set before and they are awful and make the car look tacky and :yuck: so thats out of the question.

What kind of material will I need? How much of it? What will it cost me? And has anybody done this before so I can see some results?

i'm not sure about cost of re-trimmming etc but,

have you thought about getting the interior out of an active sport or sporting?

there sports bolstered seats aswell;)

would probably cost you about £100 from a scrappies... possibly less
or from ebay of course

Hi mate

I would swap you no problem, only thing is my seats are not in the best condition. I dont know if i would get the stains out, i was just gonna buy a new set from the likes of a scrappy. But just to let you know that folk will swap you, assuming both partys seats are in good con.

Here is what the interior looks like, as you can see it clashes horribly with the outside of the car.

The passenger side one looks better as there isn't as much light on it.

The seats are all mint so if I was to swap them it would have to be for some just as nice sorry.

yeah the dark blue with black bolsters are sporting/ hgt seats, active sport seats are the same as sportings (with big sports bolsters) but in grey and black- i actually think the colour scheme is better, but you dont get rear head restraints.

i think rear h/rests were an option as i've seen some hgt/sporting's with 2/3 or no h/rests, i was lucky finding a set with 3 h/rests localy

Here's a question for ya, If I was to find some nice black seats in a sporting in a scrapyard that were good enough to put in my car would they fit?

I presume the back would be the same but the front seats would be recliners as the sporting is a 3door. Would they still fit in a 5door?
