Technical Engine swap

Im wanting to swap my engine from the 1.2 8v 60bhp to a more powerful one. Just wanting to no which engines fit best, i.e with engine mounts etc.

Well which punto do you have? I can't see clearly if it's a mk2 or not. - ah, never mind, checked your sig. Either way someone is going to come on here and tell you it's cheaper/quicker to buy another punto with a bigger engine already fitted then again I've found 1.2 16v engines for under a quarter grand, if you stuff it in yourself that would surely be cheaper, right? I cling to that hope as I want a bigger engine as well, preferably without swapping cars

Just to clarify lol Its a mk1 60sx 1.2 8v. And i no it''s cheaper to buy a new motor, but thats easy lol Fancy the fact that its your own work and ideas that have gone into it.

Were thinking about the 1.6 8v

Or maybe a GT engine haha

im thinkin of doing same with mine....changing the engine.... i got a 1.6 mk1 sporting.. i wanted a 2.0 maybe Gt turbo.. change all hoses an rad... discs and calipers.. dump valve etc.. better ht leads... maybe chip it when its done??? Hmmm then go kick ass... leave 1.6 on the side of car like

i can see it now.. waitin at the lights, lil punk in his lil suped up corsa! open it up on the east lancashire road........ be fun... prob be cheaper buy new car like but hey ITS A HOBBY AN I LOVE IT!!!!

Thats what it's about for me too. Would more than likely be cheaper, but that takes away most of the fun.

One of my plans is to, put a GT engine in, then buy some 55 badges for sides Then when chavs in there corsa's come, thinking they have a chance haha
