Hi Folks

Does anyone else have trouble with their 5th gear? Sometimes it's hard to select that gear, gets a bit sticky?

no my 5th gear is fine it has never been any problem i hope you sort it out charlottet. have you changed your gear box oil it should be ghanged at 80000 tousand miles.

I think all the gears are quite hard to get in the first couple of minutes driving. Could be a sign that I should change the tranmission oil, but I have only driven the car 69.000KM.

that was revised to 40,000 thats why so many punto boxes die
could be the cyncrmesh (spelling) i think that can be fixed without removing the box.

Just changing the gearbox oil might have an affect though, my grandpa's old car had a problem with it slipping out of reverse and changing the oil fixed it for a few months for some reason...(not sure why obviously!)
