Punto Mk2 16v elx 2001 - cooling fan not working - tested by direct connection to battery . This is a Valeo fan - though car has a/c unit - it is not working as one of pipes fractured and a/c coolant drained. Can I remove fan from cowling and replace with any similar size fan? or does it have to be direct replacement? what is approx cost from breakers yard - been quoted £180 for new!! Is there any mileage in trying to get original fan repaired?
