ive bought punto, recently. i was only given 1 ignition key.
i disconnected battery to clean terminals. thats when i found i have an alarm. reconnected battery and alarm has set up.
i have removed the relevant fuse to stop alarm working,- now no radio, on same fuse of course, i can live with that for time being.
strange thing to me is you can drive the car with the alarm sounding and indicators flashing, the ignition is not interrupted.
anyway, back to problem. do i have to go to fiat to obtain new fob, and i presume it will need programming, or can independant alarm companies provide fob.

if its aftermarket alarm you can get fob but not cheap & you need the serial number inside sirenor control unit.

It's only an imobiliser that would interupt the igntion which not all alarms have.

As mentioned above, rip the thing out, and smash on the floor for that feel good feeling of I got the noisy buggar:devil:
