Hi all, don't know if anyone else has had this. I've got an 8v Mk 2 Punto and yesterday noticed a load of oil coming from under the bonnet down the bumper. I think (but I'm not sure) I've just lost the oil cap - see attached photo. The oil level is still okay. I guess it's just been evaporating out when hot. Does anyone reckon it's that straightforward or is there an underlying problem?

Yup looks like you have lost your cap, have you topped up with oil recently?

Not since it got serviced in January - guess it just worked off!

Probably wasnt put on properly seems strange that it took so long to come off. Get yourself a new cap and see what happens, you should make a habit of checking oil water and brake/clutch fluid levels everyday before setting off.
