My Grande Punto is currently at the dealers workshop as the judder in the gear box needs attention and they had the nerve to tell me that the gearbox is NOT covered under the warranty and they can't see anything wrong either so in the event the clutch and pressure plate along with the release bearing is replaced, it would be at my cost??????

The car is less than one year and done less than 10,000km and they have the nerve to tell me this, if the engine and gearbox are not covered under the so called 2 year warranty, then I can't understand what the warranty really covers!

I told the dealer to fly a kite and I am not paying them anything and to sort it out failing which I will take up th matter very seriously, lets see what happens

Sounds very suspicious (I agree with you) but two things: I suspect it may need a re-alignment (a simple process - and therefore reasonably cheap - that involves the official dealer equipment) - and secondly, if you post this in the Grande Punto section of the forum, there will be people there who may know more about the problem.
