Hello tho it sounds like my car has aload of problems but really it doesnt.....

The temp gauge when hot reads 3/4 but dont go any higher than that....
Several garages have said dont worry as it dont use any water and that it just runs hot, the water does go down a little after very long journeys but when checked when cold its back to normal.

Suggestions please....dont wanna fork out on a headgasket jobbie...

have you checked/changed the thermostat?

Also, check that the temprature sensor is working correct. I bought a thirdparty one and that one showed way to much, more like 3/4 in normal driving against the 1/4 that it should have been. Putting a fiat in place instead solved it, that one was also way cheaper.
