Hi!

I need help tracking down the source of a Radiator leak in my Punto 55. It's been getting gradually worse such that after every short journey im forced to check the level to make sure it's not too bad.

Water (coolant, antifreeze, whatever you want to call it) appears to be dripping onto the internal plastic wheel guard (not sure what it's actually called) on the drivers side of the car, which inturn appears to be dripping off of the oil filter which is directly above the plastic guard. I couldn't follow the leak any further.

anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

Dave

if its the radiator then the leak would be at the front only, not under the weathershield. are u sure its the drivers side??..reason i ask is that the reservoir bottle for the windscreen washer is under the wheel arch on the passenger side, and they can leak.

hi, thanks for the feedback so far. Its not the wind screen wiper fluid because the radiator level noticeably changes after small journeys. Its definatly dripping on the internal wheel guard, but ill have another look around where the water pump is tonight and see if i can see anything.

Cheers

dave

if its the waterpump it wouldnt be going inside the plastic wheel guard, it would run down the engine......wouldnt it?

coz i had mine replaced.

i guessed internal plastic wheel guard is the cover thats under the bottom pull which does get leaked on when the water pump goes.
