yeh im confused as to why the wiring for a temp gauge and rev counter is there when there are no dials to show this...unless the dials are changed

I know what you mean, but if you think about it
u do still have a temperature guage, its just a light, i guess once the voltage across that perticular light is over a certain amount it will come on

Instead of a light now, it'd be a servo moving :)

The rev counter i cant explain tho

I have the same dials... no bloody rev counter! Apparently (so ive heard) you can just do a simple swap and it should work as both dials (with or without rev counter) have the same connection on them. Im gonna pop to the scrappy this weekend to try and find some dials, so if you havent managed to try it by then, i will let you know how i get on :)

Also, i wish people would please stop using the answer 'should have bought a sporting'. If we had the money to, we prob would have! lol

mk2b dont fit mk2 do they?

Also is it possible to wire up the power terminals just too see the millage on it? or will it just spazz out due not actually been in a car...

There are soo many on Ebay atm, however no1 knows there millage on them, so getting one would be quiet hard....

its strange that Fiat sell Puntos without temp gauges- how are you supposed to know when your car is overheating, especially because Puntos are notorious for head gasket problems!

no, but i have heard from someone that did.

a console from a different model mk2 is a bit different from a mk2b, as they are re-designed clocks with a different computer inside

Few days ago, I've switched the simple dials on my 1.9D with one from JTD. It's really easy and everything works great, except that I had to go to the local car "hacker" to fix the mileage, and stop display from flashing.
