Technical Locking Wheel Nuts

Hey there,

ive got some stoplock locking nuts on my mk1 punto, however they are not wobble bolts. I was advised that if i put them in then i would have trouble with them, but i thought i'd feel safer if it was sat outside if it had them on, so i went and got some on, and i can put 3 of them on fine, but for some reason if theres a locking nut on the back right hand side i can hear a strange noise.

anyone got any idea what the solution is? ive just taken em out for the time being.

It should fix it if the noise only occurs when the non-wobbly locking bolt is being used.

if you are using a different pcd wheel then you should never attempt to use standard bolts even if it is only one of them just the locking one it's extremely dangerous

Noo, its not standards bolts. Ive got all of the wobble bolts out in, but got some stoplock locking nuts. Its fine, on all the other wheels, just that one

that's what i meant the one locking one that is not wobbly will not be sitting in the centre of the taper obviously
