Gold wheels should be reserved for rally slags of the boxer variety.

I think this style would look better. Maybe need them a little bigger, aren't 15s quite small for a mk2?

yeah but ona 1.2 8v, anything bigger is bad, you loose what go you had, and the dif will last about 6months, being carefull, mine lasted 3months on 17's being harsh, only a bit harsh:mad:

it will swollow 17's on a 30mm drop no problem, without rubbing, but not worth the transmission problems ;)

Your too right (y). People seem to forget about this and only regret it when they have major issues. I am one of those people :(

Fiar enough, I just thought 16s might be a better choice.

Only going by personal experience but my mk1 has gone for over 2 years with 16s on, without any diff issues.

How deep is a mk2 arch? 15x7 5 spoke Schmidts with a gold centre and polished lip would look pretty cool imo.

me likey.:yum:

although i have woke up this morning swinging more towards white alloys lol:p

good lad

one other thing to think about on 17s or bigger is the braking will become less effective meaning you have to push the pedal harder to achieve the same braking force

this is due to the extra leverage the car has over the brake disk thanks to the bigger wheels
