ok long shot but here goes!!
jus wondering if its possible to drop a mk1 1.4 gt lump into a mk2b 1.2 8v shell?? obviously know theres gonna be a fair bit of work but jus outta curiousity how much and has anyone done this??

why a 1.4 gt (which would need more work), you can pick up a hgt 1.8 engine or even a 2ltr from a coupe and tho's engines will fall into the car with half the work.

things to add/sort
Drive shafts
Wiring loom + ECU
Engine mounts
Exhaust (easy)
Gear linkages
Fuel lines
Brake discs (all round)
Plumbing (hoses)
Fuel Pump
Wire up sensors to warning lights on dash (thats apart of sorting wiring)

"why a 1.4 gt" jus assumed a punto engine would of been easier and didnt really think about the hgt! so a coupe engine is possible sounds good gonna have a look into that i think! this been done much before??

anything is possible with time and money.

too many people seem to jump in ad say "this is/isnt possible" etc.

yes, sometimes there is an easy swap but if your willing and able/have the kit then anything can be achieved.
