Hi new member here.
It's actually my girlfriends car but seeing as I have to do all the work on it, this seems to be the best place to find out whats what.
I used her car to jump start mine after it had been lying for a few weeks. Got mine going but when she drove hers to the shops the injection warning light stayed on and the car is running rough as hell, sounds like its not completely firing on all cylinders and wants to stall but not quite. There was also a smell under the bonnet like burning rubber or something similar.
I've checked the archives and the possibles seem to be coils, lambda or EGR.
Whats the most likely and is there any checks I can do before I start shedding out money for parts. Where are the coils and is there any checks that can be done with a multimeter or something?
