General Fiat Punto Crash Safety

Yep. Sefety was a concern when I got mine because I'd just walked away from my previous car that was written off (by an elderly man who wasn't fit to drive). I wouldn't have gone with anything less then 3 stars, and ideally a 4, which is what the Punto 2 has.

When I look under the bonnet I'm amazed at how much air there is. My finacee has a Corsa and it's jammed full of engine bits. In a serious crash all that space in Punto's means the engine isn't going to end up in my legs hopefully. Not that I want to be in another accident.

Noooo that picutre of that punto crashing makes me cringe [V]. But there fantastic little "big" cars and theres sooo much more room in my punto MkII than my mate has in his 306 despite it being physically smaller

Here was mine... head on with a Skip lorry driving up my side of the road, hit it at 45mph, impact threw my punto around 90 degrees to the left, front end squashed right up to the window, I had to kick the passenger door open to get out, with not a scratch on me!!! [8)]

Car was a right off of course LOL

Id put a pic on here of it, but I don't know how.
Scare the crap out of me everytime I see it

quite scary when you come to think they put a turbo lump in a car that in a crash it won't survive
