I have a hole in my flexi pipe in my exhaust... I took to a garage and have been quoted around £55 to get it replaced. I don't know anything about car workings and I don't have any tools to replace myself, even though I imagine its a simple 4 bolts off 4 bolts on jobby.

Now for my next question, will this make my car quiet? and will my fuel efficiency increase dramaticly? I am currently lucky to be getting anything over 20MPG on it now... =/

Thanks loads!

Indeed, the car used to judder in the morning, speaking to the garage I was told that it may be over fueling because the lambda needs back pressure to get a proper reading... So why do people get there cars decatted? Surely that removes most if not all back pressure?

He said it was my "downpipe" at the front...? It was always worst when the car was cold so I am assuming it was due to the metal expanding and blocking a little more of the whole...?

V_V stupid cars.

*Edit*

GOOD GOSH! Its so quiet! Like wisper quiet, I dunno what to do with myself...
